1 Arbeitsspannung, f
working voltage
highest r.m.s. value of the a.c. or d.c. voltage across any particular insulation which can occur when the equipment is supplied at rated voltage
[IEV number 581-21-19]
working voltage
highest r.m.s. value of the AC or DC voltage across any particular insulation which can occur when the equipment is supplied at rated voltage
NOTE 1 – Transients are disregarded.
NOTE 2 – Both open circuit conditions and normal operating conditions are taken into account.
[IEV number 851-12-31]FR
NOTE 1 – Les surtensions transitoires sont négligées.

negative electrode
for a device having two electrodes, that electrode having the lower electric potential
NOTE – In some cases (e.g. electronic tubes and semiconductor devices), the term "negative electrode" is applied to one or another electrode, depending on the electric operating condition of the device. In other cases (e.g. electrochemical cells), the term "negative electrode" is assigned to a specific electrode.
[IEV number 151-13-04]FR
